Infusion Therapy
The word Infusion!
The Word of God is powerful, and sharper than a two-edged sword! That sounds dangerous! So why do we handle it so carelessly? I’m afraid even Christians have become way too casual with something so precious and powerful!
The engrafted word (one that is infused with power), will save your mind, get in your memories, and will heal things in you that you didn't think could be healed! It can cause you to be permeated with something that alters-usually for the better.
This infusion of the word of God, is a continuous slow introduction of a solution to any of life’s problems! It is your therapy!
Engrafted comes from the root word graft, where there is a cutting and transplant of living tissue, and is joined to another part of the body, or when a shoot or twig is inserted into a slit on the trunk or stem of a living plant, from which it receives sap.
Until the Word is engrafted in you, it won’t have the power to change you. A graft can’t just be laid on the surface; it must be placed in the deepest part of your being. There’s no way around it! The only word, that you can benefit from is the word that gets "in you" and you began to live it out!
Remember—"in you—live it out! Anything else…is just you faking to have some knowledge that you really do not have and pretending to be something that you are not! ie..a "talking head"...where you are merely speaking, and offering your opinion, but there is no show of any action-and has no substance!
Furthermore, a talking head is someone who never stops giving their opinion. They will corner you to tell you gossip or to ask you about the details of your life, so they can distort it and spread it throughout the neighborhood. Talking heads are idiots and time-wasters. Over a year, you can lose many precious hours cornered by a talking head. It is important to cut them off immediately, even if it seems rude and you end up on their hit list.
It’s not enough to just hear the word or read it. The Word must prick your heart! The word prick means to strike through violently. To be pricked is not just a little stick, but a violent stabbing to make a deep open wound. That can be painful!
How many anointed sermons have you heard, yet you still remain unchanged? Maybe at the time, you were challenged and convicted in your spirit. Like the crowd on the day of Pentecost, they were pricked in their heart when they heard the Word.
You may have even asked liked they did, “what must I do?” But you never followed through to allow the Word to be engrafted into your heart.
The Word of God can’t be engrafted in you until it has wounded your flesh. Naturally your flesh is going to rise up and resist any kind of discomfort or pain. Your flesh will hinder what the Word wants to accomplish in you, which is to completely change you! Nobody wants to admit their guilt and wretchedness. However, once you hear the Word, you have a choice to make. You can either commit and be a doer of the Word, or you can walk away and remain unchanged.
You have to be willing to let the Word of God cut you! No matter how painful, let it pierce deep enough to search out your innermost being. Your flesh will resist, but receive the engrafted Word and release the power to change you!
You must be cut by the Word!
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:21-22
