“There are turbulent days ahead”…

These are the days of our lives

It certainly seem like turbulence and toxic times when it comes to political discourse and endless arguments in America—to fierce divisions over the presidency, to polarized views of the way forward for America. In 2 Timothy 3, there are a list of behaviors that people will exhibit during turbulent times…The list is speaking about behaviors of people in the turbulent times to which we are experiencing.

Check out this list ...

• they will be lovers of themselves

• lovers of money

• boastful

• proud

• abusive

• disobedient to their parents

• ungrateful

• unholy

• without love

• unforgiving

• slanderous

• without self-control

• brutal

• not lovers of the good

• treacherous

• rash

• conceited

• lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—

Shift your focus off the turbulence and onto God.

These “rebels” will act religious, (a form of godliness), but they will reject its power and its power to change them. They are the kind of people who worm their way into homes and gain control over the "gullible"; those who are loaded down with sins; and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires— always learning but "never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.

They oppose leadership (God's appointed leadership), and also oppose God's truth. They are of depraved minds, who as far as the faith is concerned, are "rejected". Have nothing to do with such people! Stop trying to “fellowship” with them!!! They are toxic!!! Stay away from them! Clear enough? Why are you so hell-bent on ‘them?’ Motive motive motive!

Value your relationship with the ‘Almighty God’ more than the "turbulence" of toxic, sick people!

These rebels don't value their own relationship, or they would have endeavored to walk in the wholeness of the word of God. So neither will they value yours-they will rape you of your very life‼️ Anything that seduces you away from that which pours life into you is, in essence depleting your life resources. 

Do not compromise your Kingdom stance for the sake of toxic relationships!

We are seeing today, in vivid clarity, what happens when the line against turbulence, and interacting with people with toxic qualities, (those that are abusive, unsupportive, and unhealthy emotionally)—is not drawn.

All Scripture is God-breathed, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
