Your Excellency
Your Excellency—a title given to certain high officials of state, especially ambassadors.
I’m afraid however, we’ve lost our spirit of excellence!
We’re always rushing on something, or half doing something. Rarely do we give our whole self to anything. We don’t give all our time, energy and gifts, into our skills, tasks or activities.
I have noticed that the quality of work from many employers, employees and even Kingdom entrepreneurs has slipped.
Excellence is not the same as perfectionism.
God isn’t asking you to be a perfectionist, He’s asking you to be excellent. Perfectionism is trying to please people. Excellence wants to please God.
Excellency is a quality which unusually surpasses ordinary standards, and is used as a standard of performance.
The Bible says that Daniel had a spirit of excellence.
Daniel 6:3–4 says “Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.
So the governors and satraps (any subordinate or local ruler), sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him.”
Daniel was among great people because they recognized a spirit of excellence in him! He was excellent because he was faithful.
Joseph was a leader of excellence. He served all his masters faithfully and consistently and was promoted at every job he had. He served the kings like he was a king. He served the palace like he owned the palace. He served the prison like he owned the prison.
people need to recognize the “spirit of excellence” inside you
How you serve determines whether or not you’re ready for the next level!
We are called to represent the Kingdom well, by walking worthy of this higher call of excellency.
We must do things well-done, not half done! We serve a God of excellence, who demands excellence from His co-laborers.
Refraining from excellency in life, (your life), is not an option, it’s an official order!
Remember:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” (bosses) Colossians 3:23-24
