For such a time as this!!

A Clarion Call

Remember the story of Queen Esther? There was great mourning among the Jews!

A decree had been sent out to destroy all of them. Mordecai instructs Esther to go to the king and plead with him for the lives of her people.

Mordecai finished by suggesting to Esther the possibility that she had become queen “for such a time as this”. He reinforces her purpose that, all of her life and the series of unusual events that led her to become Queen, was her greater purpose! Esther was reminded to not be complacent in her thinking, nor feel as if she was safe in the King’s household, without her fulfilling her divine assignment!

Well today—let me exhort you.

Do not be so complacent and satisfied with yourself, your educational pursuits & achievements, nor your notoriety, that you do not fulfill the assignment—then as a result of this disobedience, you try to self-medicate, the pain of not fulfilling your purpose.

Self-medication is a behavior in which one uses a substance or any external influences, to self-administer treatment for physical or psychological ailments. For a lot of people, going to church has become just another way to anesthetize their inner pain.

According to TDJakes,
“Doing Church, can oftentimes be a narcotic; a way to “anesthetize” your pain.”

How are we ever going to justify this posture, (which is seen throughout the church)—to a world, to which we are called to influence. Our main purpose, is to deliver the world from “pain—not anesthetize it!”

Let’s examine this word-anesthetize!—to induce a loss of consciousness from things that are too painful to remember; to deprive the pain of being aware or even feeling it. You cannot be healed from things that you don’t acknowledge!

Hmmm…💭💭💭 this was my first thought to myself…"you mean, we can anesthetize our pain, not only with drugs, (street or OTC), but also with other things like fornication, lust and inordinate affection? (an unhealthy and obsessive attachment to a person or thing that manifests through uncontrollable “lust” that many label as love)

WOW! I thought—then those are just other ways of “getting high, to anesthetize pain!”

Getting High, is designed to alter your state of mind, in order to medicate the pain that you feel inside! But there is a staying high—a spiritual high—that does not anesthetize toxicity!

Remember Jonathan McReynolds’ song ‘Stay High’? Well, that is a prophetic application of healing the inward part of the soul! Staying high on the word of God and not surrendering to all the lusts and influences, that our flesh wants! The word of God gives us all the solutions to whatever ails us.

The fact that someone can put on a preachers collar, (a form of godliness), as their confirmation of authority; can hold up all their certificates, and boasts of being linked to the “right room,” (wherever that is), does not make them qualified to challenge the soundness and veracity of the written word and its applications! God will never alter His word! We need both the forms and the power!

What McReynolds’ song-‘Stay High’ is all about—is to stay high in Jesus…and respond to life, the way He has told us! Doing this will heal and destroy completely; every YOKE and any “trauma bonds,” that may be clinging to us.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

We must accept the truth of the word and then continue to believe it, by living it accordingly! The alternative to refusing to, will be sadness, distress, meanness, nastiness, hatefulness, apathy, agitation and mental conflict!

All these pain points, are supposed to be dissolved at the entrance of His Word!

Now let me plug the anointed ministry of Psalmist Tonya Baker.
I love the flow of the true spirit and anointing through her-especially when she is in the zone! She does what she’s assigned to do—as she ushers in the presence of the living God. If you are in God’s flow, you will recognize it too. After she ushers in the glory—she yields the floor/spotlight, turns her back, (indicating it’s not at all about her), and walks out of the limelight! Those with prophetic insight can see that!!

She knows her assignment, and gives up all accolades to her God! Then…the presence of the Almighty God comes flowing through, to meet every need in the place! Because He is welcomed! That’s why God will always honor her—as long as her heart honors Him.

Many people resist that kind of anointing when it shows up, and miss their healing and their blessing! Why? Because the presence of God is not what their flesh is use to, nor wants to surrender to!! Isn’t Jesus Christ, what “having church” is all about? His Purpose. His Plan. and His Glory?!

Has it now become necessary to call the “sandman” (remember the Apollo theater), to get you off “your” stage, so we can experience God’s glory?! It isn’t man’s accomplishments that heal, deliver; but rather—Jesus. 🎶Oh it is Jesus!🎶

MOVE you OUT OF THE WAY!

The you—with your degrees, your charisma and your flesh, having no presence of the glory of God!!

Having degrees of any kind, is not a validation of God’s anointing on a persons life; because when Jesus shows up—everything & everybody will be transformed! Thats the validation! On the other hand—when you show up—it’s just a momentary, feel-good moment! It’s the anointing of God that breaks yokes!

We need yokes broken and transformational moments!

If the people in a congregation, are still bound up over time, sitting with their hands folded, and arrogantly, unresponsive to the spirit of truth, they are simply not born-again, according to the scriptures, or they are so enamored with the leadership and/or, the idea of “going” to church, rather than being the church—that they don’t realize that Jesus has left the building!

Real talk…many of these events and gatherings—that we say God has ordained—flesh and charisma shows up, but the true spirit of God does not!

Jesus said that His ultimate purpose, for coming to earth, was to redeem man from poverty, sickness, and death, and that we might have and enjoy…super-abundant life! His life!

Leaders who are pleading for people to come back to church—must plead rather, that they first come back to Jesus!

People make their own choices, as to whether to return to the things of the spirit of God!! They indeed, have a will and a choice, about where and how they will live…either here, or in eternity.

God’s people need His presence—

Where is it that you are in pain?
Do you Need more clarity?
