God doesn’t play church—

God doesn’t “play church”—children do!

They have aform of godliness”—but NO power! (2 Timothy 3:5-7 )

A person that plays church, is one who have an outward display of religion; presenting themselves as godly, but it is all for show.

There is no power behind their religion, as evidenced in the fact that their lives are unchanged. They are not growing up in Him! They are children! They speakof” God, but live in sin. They claim the title of Christian, wear the uniform of Christ before men, but by their lives, they dishonor His name.

These “false” Christians are destructive. Paul warns that they (false Christians), will “creep into households and make captives of those who are failures at social intelligence and are easily tricked or manipulated into ill-advised courses of action! The scriptural reference is towards gullible women, who are loaded down with sins, foolish women, who tear their homes down with their own hands, those led away by various lusts, “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Now lets be clear, this description speaks of the “human condition,” and is broad enough to where one could say that there are surely, some silly and gullible men too! Jesus has no respect of persons; and for those who are “in Christ Jesus,’ there is neither male nor female, and this speaks to all who display such characteristics—surely you must know this?! Everybody can be gullible! Jesus is not just picking on, and picking out women!

This means that discernment matters! The characteristics in scripture that Paul describes, speak not only of bad times, but of bad, fake, and false people—period! Gullibility simply means that such persons are not brainless, but that they lack strength of character, wisdom, and spiritual discernment. Their desire maybe to be more spiritual, but the reality is, that they are easily deceived by the enemy, when they do not know the Word of truth, do not act on the truth of the word, and read into the Scriptures, what their itching ears and frivolous imaginations delight to hear.

Then their fleshly carnality and spiritual immaturity, feeds into this mentality, where the heart and mind of spiritually weak men, women, and young people, is led away from the truth by their own various carnal influences, instead of standing firm on the Word of God. From such, (carnality and spiritual immaturity), the bible mandate says to turn away…and avoid them

The power of God accompanies godliness

—"NOT UNGODLINESS” AND “SPIRITUAL IMMATURITY”

Without that POWER—it is just a “FORM!”

With His power, in conjunction with His Word; there will a total and complete change for the better, by the renewing of your mind; and this change, is not just “conforming,” but rather “transforming;”—changed into a new creation, which is the evidence of being “born again,” into the Kingdom of God.

“The kingdom of God does not consist in all these words, all these debates, all this division, and all these “forms of display,” but in the power of God, through His Spirit, His word, and His gospel—the power of Christ crucified.”— (1 Cor. 4:20)
