Impregnated by God
As God’s selected Prophets and PROPHETESSES…
We have been “impregnated” with the fresh oil of the anointing, and we have the solutions to whatever is happening, within our world, and these solutions, ALL COME FROM GOD’S DOWNLOADS OF WISDOM!!
“But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn: I am anointed with fresh oil for your service. Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, And mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. ~Psalm 92:10-15
The inspired psalmist was aware of the need for and the blessing of an “impartation of fresh oil.”
Oil is a frequent symbol in the word of God. Kings were anointed with oil, as they took up office, signifying God’s call upon them into the kingship and the empowerment for that office.
Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David.
Even when the powerful Holy Spirit anointing upon those in time past, it did not necessarily keep them on God’s straight and narrow path—they themselves, had to strive for mastery; personal and in ministry…
The “fresh oil” in our lives must be stirred, on a daily basis. Yesterday’s anointing is not necessarily sufficient for today.
Oil was used to keep the lamps burning in the Holy Place, and it was vital that these lamps, should never run dry. The Holy Spirit not only anoints and empowers for Divine service, but also enlightens and keeps us lubricated.
The Oil Represents Light
Old Testament prophets, priests, and kings were anointed with oil, symbolizing the empowering for service.
The Oil Speaks of Healing
Oil symbolizes the healing power of the Holy Spirit.
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins…he will be forgiven.”
God identifies Himself as the healer, declaring; “I am the Lord that heals you” (Ex. 15:26)
The Oil Speaks of Cleansing
Christians who struggle with the concept of “living pure” before God—if surrendered to the Holy Spirit—He will cleanse and empower to live “not as unwise, but as wise.”
A Spirit-controlled life will overcome the excessive desire to possess those things which have visual appeal, (lust of the eye), or those things which incites overpowering covetousness, jealousy and desires of sexual lust (lusts of the flesh); and anything that leads to arrogance, ostentation, pride in self, presumption, and boasting (the pride of life.)
The Oil Concerns Revelation
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” The Word of God is the “bread” that sustains us. The anointing of God, is given to illuminate His Word, to open the Scriptures, and to place the spiritual man in direct communication with the mind of God.
The Holy Spirit is the Author of Holy Scripture
We could never begin to understand the eternal revelations of truth, except by the oil of the Spirit. Whenever we study the word of God, we should invite Him to anoint our eyes to see, and our ears to hear, what He is saying to us.
The Spirit of the Lord is on me—because He has anointed me…
