That "aha" moment
FROM THE PROPHETESS' CHAMBER—
Editor’s Wisdom: Lifestyle Choices
AHA Moments—are moments of sudden insight or discovery; of sudden realization, inspiration, insight, recognition, and/or comprehension. These moments are milestones in the your life’s journey where you come across an asset (proposed value) that operates in your life', determined at its highest and best private use, and realize the value and worth of how it operates within you—and who you really are—especially in Christ Jesus!
Women, in particular, tend to focus on everybody else’s happiness, making sure that everybody else is OK — children, friends, family, job, ministry, groups — but at the end of the day, it’s about making sure that you yourself, are OK! (loving yourself)
Loving yourself is having an appreciation for who you are, that grows from actions that support your physical, psychological and spiritual growth. It means having a high regard for your own well-being and happiness, taking care of your own needs, (rather than expecting somebody outside of Jesus to) and not sacrificing your well-being to please other people. When you start to really work on yourself, to love yourself, you must know your value and your worth. It’s a hard journey, but it is so worth it!
For me, in the past three years, it was allowing myself to “be still and know” before God; and going through His highly concentrated “transformational intensives" that were designed to strengthen, increase and accelerate me—His very own system of accelerated examinations, that required me to make maximum progress of learning, growing, evolving, and creating, in minimal time, in addition to my having to go through the losses of love ones—It was these times, that initiated a major ‘aha’ moment.
To love your own self, is to motivate you to make healthy choices in life, and to choose things that nurture your well-being. These things may be in the form of eating healthy, exercising and having healthy" relationships around you. For example:
Be mindful-- know what you think, feel, and want, and take actions based on those needs. Stay focused on what you need. In so doing, you turn away from automatic behavior patterns that keep you stuck in the past.
Nourish yourself daily, through healthy activities, sound nutrition, exercise, proper sleep, and healthy social interactions.
Do stuff, not just to “get it done” or because you “have to,” but because you care about yourself!
What does the Bible say about self-love?
"We should love our neighbors as we love ourselves”; so it kinda follows that unless you learn to love you first…you cannot love others.
Once upon a time in my own life, I got into a pattern of sacrificing my own self, life, dreams and visions and my purpose…to please people, hoping that perhaps they would like and appreciate me! -- No longer do I sacrifice myself, to please anyone except the Most High--His infused Purposes, Plans and Pursuits, and it has made me the purposeful, unique woman that you experience today. Grown, happy, loving, joyful, whole, confident and anointed with the "presence" of the Most High.
Loving yourselves is linked🔗 to loving others!
There is only one, who has sacrificed His life (died) for you, who will never lie to you, (because He is Truth), who offers you a completely satisfied life, and has put you before Himself! That is the living, breathing omniscient, omnipresent God... coming in the form and fashion of a man called --JESUS. Accept this love (let’s all begin here); and as you perfect reproducing His love—you will begin to really love outwardly!
