The Missing Link to Wholeness
W H O L E :
NOTHING MISSING. NOTHING BROKEN. NOTHING LACKING.
Wholeness means everything has to fit with the “proper” elements…
Having all the “proper” elements belonging to it.
Being well in body, mind, and spirit.
Not hurt or sick.
Restored to health and soundness.
Unimpaired.
Completeness, perfection, and “integrity.”
Undivided or unbroken.
Reflecting God's desire for His creation to be restored to its intended state of harmony and fullness.
Perfectly well in body, soul (mind, will and emotions) and spirit.
Free from looking to possessions, power, or people to feel complete.
Wilt thou be made…W H O L E?
Wholeness is not merely physical, but also spiritual and relational. It is having a mended heart and a soul (mind, emotions, will) filled with Christ's love.
John 5:6 describes Jesus healing a man who had been “disabled” for 38 years!
Disabled—impaired, incapacitated or limited by a physical, mental, cognitive, or developmental conditions; chronic conditions that impact a person's mental and physical growth that can affect a person's ability to learn, communicate, and perform. (failure to thrive). Deprived of strength or power.
And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority" (Colossians 2:10)
Wholeness also involves the healing of broken relationships and the restoration of peace within the community of believers.
Christians, "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." (Ephesians 4:3)
