Camouflaged Christianity?
Have you seen them? Shhhhhh…..Look very carefully. They are there, very well-blended into their surroundings…into the world…so well camouflaged in fact that no one can tell the difference.
They are the “Camouflaged Christians”.
God’s word gives several warnings against blending in with the world and taking on their practices.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 says,
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”
This verse sounds like it’s talking about the world, but much of this, we see in the church today, among believers…among people that profess to know and love God!
James 4:4 should wake us all up to the fact that we shouldn’t be blended into the world…

We, as believers in the Most High God, are not to allow so much of the world into us, and our lives, that we begin to look like, sound like, feel like the world.
We are the salt and light…we are supposed to be different, peculiar, set apart.
We are supposed to make the world want what we have…but how can we do that if we are no different than the world…what do we have left to offer?
We are known by our fruits…
