He called them mothers…
Mothers are Nurturers.
they give care and attention to someone WhO is growing And developing.
Mothers are how you grow, develop and succeed!
The Word of God never decrees that every woman must be a mother, but it does indicate that every woman who’s been blessed with motherhood should treat that role with the utmost respect and responsibility.
Women play a unique role in the life of children. They never hate the fact that they are mothers, nor treat motherhood like a boring routine.
Mothers keep loving their children (and those ordained to her), throughout their entire life. Her role in their life changes with time, but her love and care will always, remain the same!
A mother is somEone who gives life
The first mother mentioned in the Word is, of course, Eve. She was called the mother of all living, but the initial giving of life, before Eve ever had the ability to give it, was given by God.
Then the LORD God took some soil from the ground and formed a human out of it;
He breathed life-giving breath into his nostrils and the human…began to live.
The name Eve means life; which includes the labor of birth, and all the attributes connected to motherhood which are commonly seen as comforting, nurturing, gathering, and guiding.
In the biblical worldview, the mission of parents is to raise children to follow God. To that end, God designed the family as the primary unit by which children are cared for, loved, trained, and empowered. This requires both kindness and discipline.
Being a Kingdom mother can involve a great degree of tension. She must be kind, but still uphold biblical expectations, and she must know when to let go of the children she nurtured. It is difficult to balance the natural instinct to protect one's child from harm, with the necessity to equip the child for life as an adult.
Mothers need to remember that the purpose of mothering is to develop strong, independent adults. Even if adult children resides geographically close, she must allow them the freedom to live as an adult, taking her wisdom into account, but still be allowed to make their own decisions—(even decisions that she sometimes doesn't understand or agree with).
Children must not abandon their mother's teaching, for her wisdom will cause them to have influence and integrity their entire life.
In order for a child to trust a mother's wisdom…the mother must actually be wise. Mother’s need to follow God and rely on the promises in His divine power, which has granted them all things that pertains to life.
The Bible does not reserve motherhood only for women with biological children.
The prophetess and judge Deborah is called a mother in Israel, but she was also a mother to Israel. She provided wisdom, under God's leading, and showed Israel the way they were to go. She even tried to encourage her "grown child" to follow God on their own, without her constant presence.
Because of Deborah's wisdom and guidance, Israel enjoyed a rare period of peace.
All women can follow Deborah's example to encourage, nurture, and train those around them to live mature, effective, and God-honoring lives.
Jesus himself, tenderly provides for his own mother at His death. He established a new relationship between His beloved mother and His disciples. They were to be her sons and have a son’s duty towards her…and she must have a motherly affection towards them; so from that hour…the hour that we must never forget, the disciple John took her to his own home.
So whether you call her Mother, Momma, Mommy, Grandma, Muh, Mi-Ma, Mimi or just plain Ma, these women are placed in your life to help raise you, and love you unconditionally, forever and always.
They endure the good, the bad and the ugly from you and always hands out hugs and kisses, and let’s not forget…the discipline of love!
This divinely ordained love will, indeed cause you to grow, develop, and succeed in this life!
