Stay High

I’m “staying high!” Are you?

  • Staying High—not as a mood-altering, mind-altering substance…though, which can temporarily impair the reliable processing of your reality! Research indicates that the short-term effects of many OTC (over-the-counter), and other substances, include immediate, temporary changes in thoughts, perceptions, and information processing.

  • Staying High—not as an escape from reality, but as an effort to interact responsibly with my own reality.

But the point here is to say that those who live for Christ will want to turn away from any mood-altering substance which has physiological effects when ingested, or otherwise introduced into the body, and move toward clear-eyed, seeing and lucid thinking…for the glory of God.

Your mind is the critical key!

Keep your “imaginations” in tact and unimpaired! They are the ability of your mind to be creative, resourceful, and form new ideas. That’s God’s way…

Whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is delightful for beauty, harmony, or grace, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything you try.

Submit yourself to God—place your mind under the authority of God’s word! Resist (and keep on resisting), the devil and his “cray-cray” and ridiculous mental suggestions, and he will flee from you!

Submission to God's authority will bring you freedom!

Yielding to God’s authority, sets order and direction in your life; and what follows…is unimaginable blessing, for those who are obedient.

We’re to cast down vain, evil imaginations, (arguments, speculations), and every “high thing” that exalts itself against the knowledge of God; you have to bring into captivity every thought you have, to the obedience of Christ; capture them (as your prisoner), and force these thoughts to be guided, controlled by the word of God.

Demolish the arguments and every pretentious claim, that sets itself up in your mind, against God’s knowledge, and take captive-every thought and vain imagination. For our weapons against this mental warfare are not carnal, but mighty and fearsome, through God… (2 Cor.10:5)

You think you’re the only one under the war of the mind attack? Absolutely Not!

Satan attacks every one of us—He doesn’t care anything about your holiness or your anointing! If he thought he could cause the ruin of, or cause you to be damaged mentally, with vain imaginations…he would!

According to truth (God), when you take these ridiculous and vain imaginations captive, and submit them to God—they become your prisoner, your detaineeand not YOU theirs! Then you will walk in the god-ordained creativity, resourcefulness, and in new divine ideas as representatives of the Kingdom.
